Your First Visit

Our promise to our patients is to deliver the highest quality dental care.

We emphasis the total health of the patient, and how the health of the mouth relates to the total health of the body.

The initial visit as a new patient provides an opportunity to meet the practice. This appointment includes a comprehensive examination, a gathering of information of both a dental and medical nature.

We will review your previous medical and dental history with you. We will discuss the health of your total mouth, evaluate your health of your gum tissue, perform a cancer screening and a check your TMJ and bite for any functional concerns. In order to make an accurate, detailed diagnosis of your treatment needs, we will also take digital photographs and x-rays, when current records are not available.

We are focused on treating our patients as individuals who have specific needs and concerns.

Regular Checkups

We encourage regular checkups for individuals age four and up. Regular checkups are important to:

• Check for problems that you might not see or feel
• Find early signs of decay
• Treat oral health problems early, while they are still manageable

Regular checkups include a thorough cleaning, polishing, and an oral exam by the doctor. During the oral exam, your doctor will check the health of your mouth, teeth, gums, cheeks, and tongue, and will check your existing fillings and restorations because constant pressure from chewing, grinding, or clenching can cause them to wear away, chip, or crack.

Regular checkup appointments typically take about one hour. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and we ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately.
